The Venue week 2!!!!!

The Venue was awesome, as college 20 somethings came together for worship, message, and fellowship. The night went great as Justin gave his message on knowing God. It was a powerful night as God used Justin to speak truth in the lives of college students, and young married couples. 24/7 is so excited with what God has been doing with Venue. God is truly shaping and changing lives, and is creating an army to send to our college campuses and work places. Please come and hangout with us at the Venue!

ADOPT-A-BLOCK

24/7 hit off this weekend with their brand new blocks! They have two blocks located in Pride Park, and did a great job evangelizing and serving the people! The blocks both went great as they blessed people with clothes, food, and fun! 24/7 set up soccer goals giving to them by the John 3:16 crew and played soccer with the kids. It was awesome to see lives changed today as 24/7 also prayed with people at their houses.  The 24/7 team of 2010-2011 is unstoppable and is changing lives all across Bradenton. It is amazing to watch 24/7 come together and serve our community!

THE VENUE

The Venue hit it off Thursday night for the very first time, and it was awesome! 24/7 went around college campuses before The Venue on Thursday and invited as many people as they could. They handed out cokes and water in order to get college kids to come to The Venue. That night the total number of college kids was 206, and many gave their lives to Christ. 24/7 is so excited about The Venue, and about all that God is going to do. The first night God dropped his fire on people through the hands and feet of 24/7, impact, and Pastor Justin Dailey, and there is still more ahead. What a great God we serve. Cant wait to see what God is going to do next at Venue, and through 24/7.

Our NEW BLOCK!

These first weeks having been going great! The teams have had some pretty awesome team times, and each had a blast at Mount Laconte! Well, the start of this weekend we hit it off at Adopt-a-Block with 24/7! To fill you in 24/7 has been given the opportunity to run our own block parties for Bayside's Adopt-a-Block. The teams visited the new block this weekend, which is located in Pride Park Bradenton. The team is so stoked to be ministering to new people, feeding, mowing lawns, and giving out donations to the people of Pride Park. 24/7 Florida is all about Souls and Championship, and were taking Bradenton over for Jesus this year!! With visiting the block the team went around and prayed for the block as well as met people at their homes, and cleaned up trash off their yards. The big start is going to be this Saturday at 8:30 we are so excited!! Please pray for us as we start this new journey with Adopt-a-Block!

Mount Laconte

The 24/7 team went to Tenn this weekend and had a blast. They started off the weekend with white water rafting down the Ocoee and had a great time. Then as they drove through North Carolina they decided to pull off and go cliff jumping into a lake A.C. had been to earlier that summer.  Everyone had a great time and overcame their fears as they encouraged each other to jump into the lake below. The next day after camping in Tenn the 3 teams of Florida 24/7 and the 1 team from North Carolina 24/7 climbed up Mount Laconte with their team mates on a stretcher.  It was hard and challenging but all the teams succeeded and made it to an awesome view at the top, with team CD taking the lead! The teams truly got closer after this week as the climb taught team unity and trust. This rest of the weekend was awesome with the next campsite and the crazy worship night together. God moved and changed lives this weekend, and 24/7 is fired up for what God;s going to do next.

Team Building

After an amazing and successful orientation weekend, 247 Florida began their first full week of the program. Monday September 6th, the first year students broke into their 3 separate teams and began our annual low ropes course challenge. Our Cadre set up an awesome arrangement of team building exercises that pushed the students both mentally and physically. One of these activities included pushing our 247 van around the church parking lot. It was awesome to watch our first years work together, listen to one another and encourage each other as they reached for a common goal. Everyone kept great attitudes and learned some very valuable lessons along the way. We are so proud of all of our students for putting these next 9 months aside in order to passionately pursue our King. We can't wait to share more of our stories with you!

Orientation and Pool Party

24/7 has officially started again! All the students had orientation in Bayside youth room as we celebrated the arrival of the first years! We met lots of home sponsors and parents, along with our new first years.  Justin explained what 24/7 was all about, as the first years listened to Cadre about the upcoming year.  As orientation ended the Cadre and first years were pumped for the new year, and could not wait till the pool party the next day! 24/7 hit it off at waterleaf for an awesome pool party with swimming, and some amazing Chick-Fil-A.  We played corn hole and swam, as we watched Pastor Jason throw our parents in, and Justin and Sean race in the pool! Im so excited for the new year and cant wait until Monday for our first whole day. Thanks home sponsors and parents for all yall do for 24/7, and attending this weekend!

Preparing for the Venue

24/7 has had an awesome week preparing for the 1st years to join us on September 3rd, but they are not the only ones the Cadre has been preparing for! Cadre has been painting the youth room and preparing for the Venue to start September 21st we are all so excited about the Venue, and each of our roles! The youth room looks great as Cadre painted the walls black and white to make the room a little more college like.  24/7 will be running the Venue when it starts on the 21st, and with a team of now 33 we have got everything covered. Well, enough about the Venue, because tomorrow is orientation! Cant wait to see all of our first years there its going to be a great first week!

The Rays Game with Cadre

The Rays game was amazing as 24/7 Cadre was treated by Justin and Stefanie to go to the ball game.  It has been a hardworking week, as we have been preparing for the first years! So It was good to get out with the Cadre team, and eat some hot-dogs, and goof around at the game. Thanks to our awesome director and his wife Justin and Stefanie. The game had a lot of excitement as lex tried to chase the candy man down, and Paul spilled dipping dots on the people in front of us! We are so excited about 24/7 class of 2010-2011, and cant wait till tomorrow for orientation!  Cannot wait to make more memories like the Rays game with our new first years!
